About KPPA

Keystone Potato Producers Association

Our Story

Our roots run back to 1962, when Midwest Food Products processed its first potatoes in Carberry. A year later, in 1963, local producers came together as an informal group known as the Carberry Growers Association, and in 1969 they formalized their efforts by incorporating as the Keystone Vegetable Producers Association.

In 2006, the organization took its current form, established as a Board under The Farm Products Marketing Act as the Keystone Potato Producers Association (KPPA). KPPA operates within the framework established by the Manitoba Processing Potato Marketing Plan Regulation and the orders and regulations made under it, available here.

For more than six decades, growers have stood together to strengthen and represent Manitoba’s processing potato industry, and that shared purpose continues to guide us today.
